How to Sell Pre-Owned Clothes in Dublin (2026 Guide)

3. Photograph it properly

You don't need a studio. You need natural daylight, a plain background, and at least four angles:

1. Front, full piece, flat or on a hanger.
2. Back of the piece.
3. Close-up of the brand label / care tag.
4. Close-up of any flaw — even a tiny one. Buyers respect honesty.

4. Price it for actual movement

The single biggest mistake sellers make is pricing for what they paid, not for what the piece is worth today. A €240 Monterrain jacket worn five times is realistically worth €110–€140 pre-owned, not €200.

5. Sell to a buyer, not an audience

Listing on five marketplaces means five times the messages, time-wasters and lowballs. Selling directly to a Dublin-based buyer who knows the brands is faster, gives you cash on the day, and removes the postage hassle.

6. Mistakes that cost you money

• Selling without washing first — instant 20–30% price drop.
• Hiding damage in photos — leads to refunds, not sales.
